Kharkiv National Medical University
One of the oldest universities in Ukraine is Kharkiv National Medical University, which was founded in 1805. It was earlier known as Kharkov State Medical University and Kharkov Medical Institute. It is one of the best universities for international students to study MBBS course in Ukraine. The degree offered by the university is accepted around the world. Students not only get theoretical knowledge at Kharkov Medical University but also gain practical experience in major areas of clinical specialties.
They get to visit patients in hospitals collaborated with the university to provide practical knowledge to the students. They get to examine the patients, give urgent aid, clinical laboratories and also work in x-ray rooms.
The first medical university that was established in Ukraine was Kharki National Medical University. In 1920, the faculty of medicine was integrated with the Women medical institute and the medical academy of Kharkiv was structured.
The academy was given a new name in 1921 i.e. Kharkiv Medical Institute.
All the medical programs are recognized by the Ukraine Ministry of Health and Ministry of Science and Education. The MBBS degrees are issued to the international students by the university which is legalized by both the above mentioned ministries.

Any Indian native who has attained the age of 17 years and has passed 10+2 Level from any perceived Council/Board of India or abroad. He/she had Physics, Chemistry and Biology as elective subjects and acquired at least half in a total of PCB joined. Also, must have studied and passed English as an obligatory subject. Duration of the course MBBS course in Ukraine is 6 years including pragmatic Training. Initial three years is the pre-clinical part and most recent three years is the clinical part where students will motivate opportunity to connect with nearby patients in their neighbourhood dialect.

There are rooms available for the students in the university campus. The hostel rooms are furnished and differ in size. In the dormitory rooms, 2-3 students can stay in a room at hostel.There is bed, blanket, chair, Almirah, pillow, water heating system and pillows in each room.The common area is provided in the hostel campus for the students to walk around and mingle. They can even play in the hostel campus.Students can choose to rent a private flat or share an apartment with other students. There are apartments especially built for students by landlords which are fully furnished but differ in size. Also, the cost depends on the area of the flat or number of bedrooms maybe. There is kitchen attached with rooms in the hostel provided for the students to cook what they want to. But kitchens are not provided with the utensils. So, students will have to arrange their own utensils and whatever kitchen equipment is needed. Hostel is security packed and emergency services are provided to the students.A student has to sign an agreement to rent a room in hostel campus for 6 years which means until he/she finishes the course.
Indian food mess available
There is a special café for Indian students, which was opened by Bob trade Education Group. This made Indian student’s life easier at the campus. Now, healthier, tastier and easier food is available at the campus. A chef from India is especially appointed in the mess to cook for Indian students.

The atmosphere is smidgen frosty when contrast with India. January is the coldest month with daytime temperature ordinarily around 0 degree Celsius. In any case, sometimes it goes beneath 0 degrees. There are more than 290 radiant days in the year. In summer, daytime temperature achieves 25 to 30degree Celsius and at some point very higher than that.
On arrival information
Students are advised to come to the international airport of Ukraine i.e. Dnipropetrovsk International airport coded as DNK, it will be convenient for us to pick the students from DNK airport. The flights flying to Donetsk is Ukraine international airlines, Aeroflot, Turkish airways, Aeroswift, Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, KLM, Air France and Don-bass Airways. Students will have to clear immigration and customs themselves when they arrive at the airport. The university will make the arrangements to travel from the airport to the university. Students are advised to book flight tickets right after getting the visa since groups of students travel and then it is a busy time to fly to Ukraine when the academic year begin. If you want to be picked up from the airport and transported to the accommodation, then let us know before the arrival so that we can make arrangements. Students are advised to inform us a week before the arrival date. Students are advised to share the arrival details with us, so that it would be easy for our representative to pick up the students at the airport. Students are requested to share the scanned image of the flight tickets.
Sports Facilities at Kharkiv University
There is separate building for the sports complex which includes a stadium on the area of the university’s medical town. The complex consists of five halls:
- Hall 1: This hall is for indoor sports in 648 sq metre of area for games in tennis, football and basketball and sports studies as well.
- Hall 2: This hall is specialized for basketball, tennis and volleyball in area of 540 sq. Metre.
- Hall 3: This hall is especially for the athletes covering area of 120 sqmetre.
- Hall 4: There is a special hall for physically challenged students.
- The last hall is for fitness and aerobics.
There are 21 trainers for students to conduct physical studies and training during the course. The university has active areas in football, table tennis, athletics, basketball, volleyball, aerobics, chess, fitness, chess and other sports which keep students fit.The university is regularly taking part in inter college competitions in Ukraine. There is a sauna studio in the stadium. Tournaments are organized in summers.
