NEW DELHI: MBBS degree holders won’t be able to practice if The Medical Council of India (MCI) gets replaced by National Medical Commission (NMC). MBBS degree holders will not be allowed to practice in India since they will not be able to register to get the license for practicing. They will have to appear for an exam to acquire the license to practice in the nation. MBBS doctors will be issued the license only if they clear the exam. Members of Medical Association and Medical Council of India are fighting against the bill proposed. They claimed that if NMC becomes the legal body of medical then it will be hard to reduce corruption. K.K Aggarwal The president doctor of Indian medical association assured that the system will not get the expected results.
